It is not entirely impossible that he will react outside the realm of reasonableness. Russia’s president Putin has displayed an unusual aggressiveness as of late. Russia has raised the alert level of its nuclear forces, citing aggressive statements by NATO and the imposed sanctions as the reason for the higher posture. There are currently no imminent nuclear threats at this time, however the situation is considered fluid and can change rapidly.
